Teaching abroad

  • TEFL.com is focused on teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). Most resources require a free registration. Search job listings and also find information on training.
  • Dave's ESL Cafe is a networking, information, and jobs site for teaching English as a second language (ESL).
  • TeachSpanish.com is a site for those wishing to teach spanish, especially in the U.S.
  • TeachAbroad.com lists a variety of teaching positions world-wide. Mostly from a U.S. perspective, but also useful for anyone wanting to apply for positions around the world.

Studying abroad

  • The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) is a non-profit, non-governmental international education organization offering international study programs for university students and teachers, sponsorship in the U.S. for international students, internship programs for U.S. businesses interested in globalizing their workforce, and more.
  • StudyAbroad.com is a very useful site that lets you find international study programs by country or subject and includes sections for international students wanting to study in America, and sections for adults and grad students. Be sure to check out the Study Abroad Guidebook.
  • IIEPassport provides a search for study abroad programs. Includes additional useful information and resources by country.
  • AIESEC is the world's largest student organization that runs an exchange program that enables over 3,500 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in another country.
  • iAgora.com offers information about working, studying and living in Europe. Site available in Spanish, French, German, Italian and English Check the directory of jobs, internationships and study opportunities, and also housing and hotels.
     

International schools

Listings of international schools include a variety levels of education from primary through university.

  • Council of International Schools provides a search for International Schools worldwied. The CIS Teacher Placement Service maintains a database of around 3,000 qualified teachers. If you meet their criteria, you can register as a teaching candidate.
  • European Council of International Schools provides services to support professional development, curriculum and instruction, leadership and good governance in international schools located in Europe.
  • International Schools Services Directory is the definitive source of information on international schools for families, international educators, those about to embark on life overseas, and for human resource professionals charged with employee relocation. With more than 500 schools profiled, the directory allows readers to quickly locate information about international schools, including data on curriculum, accreditation and enrollment.
