About Semper Vigilans / SV

Semper Vigilans; Latin for 'Always Vigilant' is an all Halo dedicated gaming community and eSports organization fostering a niche of casual/competitive gamers. An integral component of Semper Vigilans. Each of us are dedicated to bringing our growing fan base an organization they are excited to cheer for. With a heavy focus on streaming and engaging content creators, Semper Vigilans welcomes fans into the organization as the premier platform for anyone who loves Halo for more than just what we can play on the consoles. Semper Vigilans is also known colloquially as ONI, from which our brand and name come from. Semper Vigilans is the motto for ONI.

Founded in 2004 as ONI, short for Office of Naval Intelligence not to be confused with the real US Navy, Office of Naval Intelligence, in which we pay homage too http://www.oni.navy.mil/ but the Halo franchise's lore. ONI was originally an Halo guide writing and code cracking guild of the original Halo 2 ARG w/CompoundIntelligence and many others solving puzzles online and offline. Later becoming an achievement hunting group prioritizing on Bungie's Road to Recon: Vidmasters Challenge achievements then moving to a roleplaying centric clan indexing and cataloging other clans of the community. Having built a reputation as a professional group for networking Halo veterans and fans alike under the renown narrative of ONI: Semper Vigilans.

Our mission is to bring the best out of our members, staff and pro players as gaming goes beyond joysticks and buttons. It's our escape, our passion, our mission as a community to be dedicated not only to the competitive success of our teams, but to our players' successes as human beings. Offering better roleplaying narratives and positive experiences through effective performance management and innovative solutions to the common problems of everyday life online. Now, ONI is primarily a gaming community stemming from the Halo franchise's first-person-shooter video games to real-time strategy video games, including mods made for computer games and alternate reality gaming. Hosting several servers and innovative alternatives to Xbox Live through dedicated virtual machines and cohosting managed by Semper Vigilan's running a variety of tunneling software. The former being XLink Kai, XBConnect and XBslink. Being able to play Halo with a group of strategic, intelligent and tactical gamers to rely on is the core experience we offer as Semper Vigilans. Making plays, teaching flag routes and spawn points are what we do as a fundamental value. Facilitating quality team-play across multiple genres of gaming is our passion for both new and seasoned veterans of the Halo community. By investing in quality resources, infrastructure and support for our teams, we create a solid platform for players to devote themselves to competition and also set the standard for the rest of the industry. We seek to foster talent and build the best teams possible through hard work and innovation.

Our vision is to become the next big underdog of the Halo eSports scene and introduce people to the Halo Championship Series. The ambitions we have in Semper Vigilans go further to become the leading solution in engineering tools to help others network and develop future technologies around Halo, Xbox Live and modified PC games.
